Oct 11, 2011 - Georgia Southern University is offering OSHA Hazard Communications standard training in Savannah on Thurs., Oct. 25. The course will run from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Coastal Georgia Center.
The seminar will review how to complete Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), the training requirements for each type of business, and why employers should have a policy in place for hazard communications.
Instructor Chris Marsh, M.Ed. has been an authorized OSHA trainer in General Industry since 2002. The seminar is one in a series of workplace health and safety training seminars in Savannah and Statesboro this fall and winter. Two recertification credit hours will be provided to participants in any of the University's OSHA seminars who are certified as a Professional in Human Resources, Senior PHR or Global PHR.
Registration for the $75 seminar closes Oct. 19. The fee is discounted to $65 each for three or more from a single firm. Participants may register for any seminar in the series by calling toll-free 855-478-5551.
