Nov 7, 2011 – The GoWaiter of Savannah company has launched a new food delivery service for 14 local restaurants, “able to deliver meals with the same care afforded in restaurants,” according to General Manager Paul Mazur.
“Food is an experience,” said Mazur. “We require our staff undergo very detailed training procedures to ensure that each delivered meal is the proper temperature and presentation. We’re interested in building partnerships with area restaurants, not just delivering food.”
GoWaiter of Savannah is the sixth location in the state of Georgia. The company was recently named one of Entrepreneur magazine’s “98 Brave New Franchises,” earning accolades from business professionals and local governments around the country for their innovative business model focused on reenergizing the local community, according to Mazur. The location offers business professionals, students, teachers, hotels and tour companies a new opportunity for fresh meals for a nominal delivery fee.
According to the National Restaurant Association's 2011 Restaurant Industry Forecast, “Restaurants are the nation's second-largest private sector employer. Every dollar spent in restaurants generates $2.05 spent in the overall economy.”
