The Child Health Committee of the Chatham-Savannah Youth Futures Authority will be hosting a Family Empowerment Day on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 9am – 1pm at the St. Pius X Family Resource Center.
The Center is located at 705 E. Anderson Street (on the corner of Atlantic Street). The event will include skill-building workshops to help families support the student pertaining to Child Sex Laws and Crimes, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System Code of Conduct, and Anger Management. Blood pressure screenings will be offered, as well as free school supplies and personal hygiene items.
