Trane air conditioning company has made a major investment in the Savannah area, moving its regional offices and contractors supply facility to a 70,000 sq. ft.space at 3609 Ogeechee Rd., occupying the western-most side of the old Sam’s Club building.
A formal grand opening is planned for April 6, but the managers and employees have been moving been into the new facility over the past few several months. The parts store is now open, according to Jason Ouzts, store manager.
Trane previously operated from a 3,500 sq ft. store in Garden City, with additional warehouse space off of Ross Rd. The move is a major expansion in parts and equipment storage capability to meet the company’s growing market share in the Savannah area, according to Ouzts.
Brian Thorstad, Manager of Commercial Sales, has also relocated his side of the business to the new facility, along with the residential sales team. In total, Trane has employees 15 employees working in Savannah, a number that Ouzts believes they will remain at for the foreseeable future.
Trane supplies parts and equipment for 50 major contractors and air conditioning companies in the area that sell or install Trane air conditioning units.
Trane is a division of Ingersoll Rand.
