The Chatham County-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission will hold a series of public meetings in May and June in preparation for the release of the draft the new Unified Zoning Ordinance (UZO) later this summer.

The UZO is intended to be a major revision to and combination of the zoning ordinances of the City of Savannah and Unincorporated Chatham County. The purpose of these initial meetings is to inform residents of the Unified Zoning Project process, to prepare for future discussions when the draft ordinance is released, and to get feedback on issues of community concern about zoning.  These preliminary meetings will also educate the public on the range of issues that they can expect to be addressed by the UZO.
