The Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University presents the Professional MBA for business persons with at least four years of experience, who want to advance their careers to the leadership level in today’s corporate world.
A distinct feature of the cohort MBA program is the cross-functional, thematically based courses. Unlike the MBA traditional model, which offers separate courses in such areas as accounting, finance, management and marketing, the Professional MBA curriculum demonstrates how these areas intersect and function together so candidates can gain the broad perspective needed for effective decision making. With all candidates being experienced professionals, the classroom becomes an interactive-learning environment with the candidates contributing their experience to the dialogue with the highly credentialed faculty team.
16-Month Program Format
Classes are held on Friday and Saturday every two weeks, allowing even the busiest manager the opportunity to earn this professional degree from an internationally accredited business school. Four retreats provide a concentrated study on specific business topics, including a weeklong Best Practices Field Residency, where students meet with top executives of companies successfully competing in today’s competitive market.
Academic Learning Environment
Classes will be led by faculty teams that bring extensive academic and corporate experience to the classroom environment. MBA candidates will learn through classroom discussions, presentations, team projects, research and technology-based interaction.
Throughout the program, candidates will learn from visiting business leaders. These executives will bring their insights and experience to the classroom as they discuss their companies and how they address the demands of competition in today's marketplace.
The event will be held at the Hoskins Center at, Memorial Health University Medical Center, Corner of 66th & Ranger, 4700 Waters Avenue, Savannah.
