United Community Bank is proud to announce two new staff additions. Gaye S. Reese has joined the bank as Senior Vice President – Wealth and Commercial, and Nick Harty joined the bank as Vice President – Business Services.

Reese will be located at the bank’s White Bluff office, but will serve Savannah and the surrounding area. Harty comes to United with more than 15 years of financial services experience, 11 of which are in banking.

Reese has more than 30 years of banking experience in the Savannah market, including 20 years serving clients in wealth management and private banking. She most recently was Senior Vice President for Private Banking with Regions Bank in Savannah.

In addition to her duties at United, Reese is very active in the community serving on the March of Dimes’ Georgia Office of Volunteers and as Board Chair for the Southeast Georgia Division of the March of Dimes. She also serves as Finance Chairman for Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church and on numerous non-profit committees.

Most recently, Nick Harty worked as Branch Manager and Private Banker at another local banking institution. He maintains 6/63 Investment and Insurance licenses.
