Aug. 28, 2012 – Vistage, the world’s leading chief executive organization, recently opened a new Savannah/Hilton Head Area chapter, uniting local CEOs and top executives across the Lowcountry.Ernst W. Bruderer, a multinational entrepreneur based on Hilton Head Island, has been named the chairman of the Savannah/Hilton Head Area chapter. In his new position, Bruderer is responsible for building and facilitating groups of business executives who meet monthly to discuss business issues, share expertise and provide confidential assistance in times of crisis.
Bruderer brings more than three decades of business experience to Vistage and currently serves as the chairman of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. Over the course of his career, he served as the chairman and CEO of Burke Coffee Estates in Tanzania and as EVP and general manager in Italy for Jacobs-Suchard AG, which is now part of Kraft Foods International. He is also the founding director of Coastal Statesbank and the chairman of Lowcountry Motors
Bruderer earned a J.D. from the University of Zurich and a B.A. in Business and Economics from the University of St. Gall in Switzerland. He has also taken postgraduate courses at Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C.
