Jan 30, 2012 - Raymond L. Moody, Jr., CEO of Batson-Cook Company announced the appointment last week of R. Randall Hall to the position of President effective January 1. Hall will manage and direct all aspects of the firm’s day-to-day operations, based in Batson-Cook’s Atlanta office. The general contracting firm has built a number of Savannah’s largest projects.
Most recently, Hall has led the Atlanta Division as Senior Vice President and General Manager, responsible for projects as the Duke Energy Center in Charlotte, the Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas Savannah Machinery Works in Savannah, and multiple major expansions at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming.
Prior to his work in Atlanta, Hall led Batson-Cook’s West Point Division as Senior Vice President and General Manager, guiding the construction of the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, Georgia, two major expansions at Aflac’s Paul S. Amos campus, also in Columbus, and the Little White House renovation in Warm Springs, Georgia, among others.
Raymond Moody served as President of Batson-Cook for over 16 years, and will continue as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer.
Batson-Cook, founded in 1915, specializes in providing commercial general contracting, preconstruction, construction management, and design-build services to a wide range of clients, with offices in Atlanta and West Point, Georgia, and in Tampa and Jacksonville, Florida.
The City of Savannah is currently involved in a $17 million lawsuit with the firm over the Ellis Square construction project where the City of Savannah provided the soil engineering work that later proved to be flawed, according to one of Batson-Cook’s primary sub-contractors on the project.
