Oct. 19 – Manufacturers Appreciation Breakfast. The chamber’s annual tribute to the manufacturing sector of the economy will take place from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Savannah Golf Club. The breakfast is being sponsored by Georgia Power and will recognize several area manufacturers that are celebrating a significant anniversary. The breakfast will honor the annual award winners for safety, environmental stewardship and community service, and the chamber is seeking nominations for these awards. Tickets are $25 each for chamber members ($35 non-members) and tables of 10 are $250 ($350 for non-members.) Reservations are necessary; please register no later than Oct. 14.

Oct. 20 – The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce October Business After Hours will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at WSAV-TV in Bluffton. Business After Hours is a great opportunity for networking with friends and business colleagues in a casual setting. Enjoy great food, complimentary beer and wine and door prizes. Oct. 22 – Registration for the Savannah's Women in Business Expo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown, 5711 Abercorn St., Savannah. Single booths are $100 and double booths are $200. The Savannah's Women in Business Expo is proud to present an exciting expo specifically tailored for women who are looking for simple, practical and economical ways to promote their business and best of all meet face to face with their potential client. This expo will take place on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 from 12 noon-4 p.m. in a beautiful Savannah Banquet Room at the Hilton Garden Inn, midtown Savannah, 5711 Abercorn St., Savannah, Georgia. Oct. 27 – Savannah Speed Classic Business Connection, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Meet us at The Club at Savannah Harbor and view an array of classic racing automobiles. Network with fellow Savannah Area Chamber members, as well as many professionals from the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance team. This evening kick-off event will include more than 100 race teams, drivers, crew and cars that will compete for the next three days on the Grand Prize Boulevard on Hutchison Island. Nov. 17 – Young Professionals of Savannah Anniversary Party. YPS is hosting its 6th Anniversary Party from 6-9:00 p.m. at Saya Lounge located on 109 W. Broughton St., Savannah. The event proceeds benefit the Savannah Children's Choir Scholarship Fund. Event tickets are sold at a discount online prior to the event for $15 YPS Member, $20 for guests, and $35 for a pair through Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 ($5 increase per person in ticket price at the door). Tickets include hor'deurves, drink ticket, live performance by SOAP and more. YPS is accepting sponsorships at this time for donations of either cash and/or raffle prizes for the event. Nov. 17 – Leadership Savannah 50th Anniversary Gala will take place at the Savannah Yacht Club, located at 730 Bradley Point Road in Savannah.
