SunTrust Banks Inc. (STI) announced last week that CE) William H. Rogers Jr., 53, will assume the additional title of chairman on Jan. 1, following the retirement of James M. Wells III on Dec. 31. Rogers, who previously served as the bank’s COO, became CEO in June to prepare for Well’s' anticipated retirement.

Ridley, who previously worked as a staff auditor at McGladrey and Pullen, is in the process of being licensed as a CPA. She holds a bachelor’s degree in global economics from Siberian State University of Lines of Communications. She also holds a master’s degree in accounting from the College of Charleston, where she received an outstanding student award prior to graduating in 2008.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has named Nicole Goodstein as director of Global Total Rewards, reporting to Jennifer Giffen Vadersen, vice president, Human Resources, Gulfstream.
Goodstein's team is responsible for the strategy and design of Gulfstream's global employee total reward programs and helping employees understand the compensation, benefits, wellness and international assignment programs and offerings. She ensures that the three groups she oversees – Compensation, Benefits and International Human Resources – work together to deliver value to Gulfstream's 11,500 employees across 16 countries. Prior to her appointment at Gulfstream, Goodstein worked as director of Global Benefits at Cisco Systems Inc., where she led key global initiatives focused on communication, cross-functional business planning and organizational
effectiveness.
