July 1, 2019 - Parker’s Kitchen, one of the nation’s leading foodservice and convenience store companies, recently opened its first Charleston-area retail store at 115 S. Highway 52 in Moncks Corner, S.C., strategically expanding its corporate footprint into the fast-growing metro Charleston market.

The company’s 58th location is part of a larger plan to expand the Parker’s Kitchen footprint from its headquarters in Savannah, Ga. to Charleston, S.C. and beyond. The newest Moncks Corner store is located near Main Street and the expanding population base in Berkeley County.

“We’re thrilled to open our newest store in Moncks Corner and to serve the needs of our customers in Berkeley County,” said Parker’s Kitchen founder and CEO Greg Parker. “We have aggressive growth plans for the Charleston area and look forward to sharing our award-winning food, exceptional customer service and incredible attention to detail with customers across the region. At Parker’s Kitchen, we have a deep commitment to elevating the convenience store experience in Charleston and giving back to every community where we do business.”

The new Moncks Corner store is the first of eight Parker’s Kitchen locations expected to open in the metro Charleston area in 2019, marking a $50 million investment by the company. Other locations opening this year include Summerville, Goose Creek, North Charleston, Cane Bay and West Ashley. The retailer plans to employ 1,200 people across the region.

The new Parker’s Kitchen in Moncks Corner serves fresh, never-frozen, antibiotic-free, double-breaded Chicken Tenders as well as popular items like cheese grits, breakfast casserole and much more. All food is homemade on-site from the freshest ingredients by Parker’s Kitchen chefs who take pride in cooking for the communities where they live and work. The new store also sells freshly brewed sweet tea and lemonade as well as Bean to Cup Guaranteed Fresh Coffee, where every cup is ground and brewed on demand.

All food items are prepared fresh by Parker’s team members and can be enjoyed on-site or to-go. The Moncks Corner location includes convenient ordering kiosks as well as indoor seating.

“Our award-winning Southern-inspired food -- which is available for breakfast, lunch or dinner -- is an ideal alternative to traditional fast food,” said Parker. “We recently won the Convenience Foodservice Leader of the Year Award for our delicious menu of items made from scratch daily with fresh ingredients, like your grandmother would make.”

Parker’s Kitchen is strategically redefining America’s convenience store industry, offering customers high-quality products, freshly prepared food and superior customer service at 58 retail stores throughout coastal Georgia and South Carolina. Headquartered in Savannah, Ga., Parker’s Kitchen has a commitment to exceeding customer expectations and has repeatedly been recognized as one of the nation’s leading convenience store companies. The company sells 2.4 million chicken tenders and 6.5 million fountain drinks annually.

The new location in Moncks Corner features a dedicated Parker’s Kitchen team, led by Store Manager Tracey Graham and Kitchen Manager Jennifer Jackson.

Founded in 1976, Parker’s Kitchen has earned accolades for its award-winning Fueling the Community charitable initiative, innovative mobile app and acclaimed Parker’s Rewards program, which has saved customers $10 million+ since its inception.

Parker’s Kitchen also gives back to every community where stores are located through the Fueling the Community Program, which donates a portion of the profit of every gallon of gas sold on the first Wednesday of the month to schools in South Carolina and Georgia. In addition, the company endows the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University and the Parker’s Emergency and Trauma Center at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
