Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

November 11, 2019 - The Chatham County Police Department is holding a toy drive to benefit pediatric patients who will be in the hospital instead of home for the holidays.

Anyone who would like to donate a new, unwrapped toy may drop it off at any of the three Chatham County Police Department precincts by December 16th. The toys will be delivered to the Children’s Place at Candler Hospital to brighten the holidays of children too sick to be at home. This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, civic groups, clubs, and church groups to help spread some holiday cheer.

The new, unwrapped toys may be dropped off weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at any of the Chatham County Police Department precincts. They are located at:

  • 295 Police Memorial Drive
  • 9306 Whitefield Avenue
  • 54 Johnny Mercer Boulevard

Donation boxes are in the lobby of each precinct. Lobbies will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 for Thanksgiving.
