Savannah Business Journal Staff Report
June 27, 2019 - The Fiduciary Group, a leading wealth management firm headquartered in Savannah, Ga., was recently included in the 2019 edition of the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers list. This prestigious list, released earlier today, recognizes top independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) firms across the United States. The Fiduciary Group is the only Savannah-area company to be recognized.
“Since our founding in 1970, we have followed the fiduciary model and upheld competency, integrity and transparency as our core values, a business model that has allowed us to put our clients’ needs first,” said Malcolm Butler, president of The Fiduciary Group. “Being recognized by the Financial Times as one of the nation’s leading investment firms is truly an honor for us at The Fiduciary Group and a credit to our high-caliber team.”
The Fiduciary Group offers a wide range of services including financial planning, investment management and trust and estate administration for individuals and families as well as participant-directed 401(k) plans and employer-funded retirement plans for businesses. The firm also has deep expertise in asset allocation, portfolio management and cash flow planning for nonprofits. The Fiduciary Group’s approach is based on independent research and diversification with a long-term focus.
The Financial Times 300 list represents an impressive cohort of elite RIA firms from 37 states, averaging 22 years in business and managing $4.6 billion in assets. For this annual award, firms were evaluated on six key factors: assets under management (AUM); AUM growth rate; years in existence; advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers; online accessibility; and compliance records.
The sixth annual Financial Times 300 list is produced independently by the Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary providing asset management industry business intelligence. The Financial Times 300 is one in a series of rankings of top advisers by the Financial Times, including the FT 401, which focuses on retirement plan advisors, and the FT 400, which recognizes broker-dealer advisers.
