Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

January 16, 2018 - Returning for its 15th annual year in Savannah on March 23-25, 2018, the Southern Women’s Show has rounded up an impressive list of local, regional and national retailers to showcase their leading products and exclusive shopping finds. Infused with interactive events and activities, the SWS will also feature fun fashion shows, live cooking demonstrations, informative body and health screenings, DIY workshops, hair and face makeovers and so much more.

The Southern Women’s Show recently announced that HGTV & TLC’s Trading Spaces star Vern Yip will be joining the SWS in Savannah on Saturday, March 24, 2018, for a special meet-n-greet and to share his expert design advice, home decor tips and stylish living inspiration. In addition, fans will get a glimpse into what viewers can expect from the newly revived and highly-anticipated season of Trading Spaces set to return to TLC on April 7 after a decade off the air. Trading Spaces was the first show in the U.S. to broadly introduce affordable and accessible home design to American audiences everywhere.

Since then, Yip has been designing his way across America, having knocked down walls and made over countless homes and restaurants during his four seasons on TLC's Trading Spaces and during his over ten years as one of HGTV’s most recognizable designers. Headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., Yip currently runs his own design company, Vern Yip Designs. His projects have amassed an impressive list of design awards including the 2015 Design Maverick Nominee, the Distinguished Southerner Award and Southeast Designer of the Year.
