Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

October 31, 2018 - Make Savannah has teamed up with Maven Makers to offer Fall Festival, a free public event featuring the local work of artisans, craftsmen and entrepreneurs. Located at 415 W. Boundary St., the event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Just in time for gift-giving season, the community is invited to shop, meet the makers and enjoy live entertainment, food trucks and maker demonstrations. During the event, more than 20 local artisans will exhibit made-in-Savannah goods, featuring leather, jewelry, original art, woodworking, small-batch skin care and more.

“Among one of the most exciting aspects of Fall Festival is the debut of Make Savannah Holiday Gift Sets,” said Cari Clark Phelps, CEO of Clark Creative Communications. “We’ve put a lot of thought into these sets, curating an elevated selection and wide variety of goods for those individuals who really appreciate handcrafted, local treasures. Every aspect of the gift sets are locally sourced and we’re making it easy for locals to buy and ship their favorite city finds to friends and family across the country. We’ve taken care of the curation, presentation and shipping to make gift-giving unique and easy.”

Holiday Gift Sets will be available for purchase and online ordering, featuring these categories and others: For Him, For Her, For Pet Lovers, For Chefs, For the Foodie. Partnering with Emergent Structures, a material reuse initiative, the packaging for the holiday gift sets is made from reclaimed wood.

Food truck Dark Shark Tacos will be on site with menu offerings such as Adobo Chicken and Chorizo, Jerk Fried Fish and Beer Cheeseburger tacos. Hot apple cider and cocoa will also be available for purchase from Fete Savannah.

Spearheaded by Clark Creative Communications, Make Savannah is an online destination and networking group showcasing the inspirational brands, and the people behind them, that make Savannah distinctly special. MakeSavannah.com provides Savannah brand lovers with a place to shop a curated selection of signature products all in one destination, learn about the Makers behind each product, and gift like a Savannahian.
