June 12, 2019 - Let's Talk Community Discussion Series: Mental Illness and the LGBT Community will take place on Thursday, June 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church, located at 1008 E. Henry St.
The fifth event in The ELLA Foundation’s Let’s Talk Community Discussion Series will feature a panel of local experts and will be moderated by The ELLA Foundation’s founder and Executive Director Charity Lee. The interactive Let’s Talk series was created in the aftermath of the Parkland School shooting and is designed to encourage audience participation. This event is open to the public; a $10 donation is suggested.
Panelists include:
- Manzana Bryant: Co-Founder, Transgender Education Empowerment LLC; Outreach Coordinator, Georgia AIDS Coalition; Outreach, First City Network; Youth Coordinator, Savannah Pride
- Clint Decker, M.S., MAC, LPC: Clinical Director, Recovery Place, Inc.
- Jamey Espina, M.A., LPC: Vice President of Development and Community Services, Hospice Savannah
- Dr. Renee Penrose: LGBT+ advocate
- Griffin Pinson: Student and LGBT+ advocate
- Dhylles Victoria: Mediator, spiritual healer and LGBT+ advocate
