Feb. 13 - Howard Family Dental Wilmington Island welcomes second provider and expands hours following major renovation

February 13, 2020 - Howard Family Dental has announced the completion of a major renovation to the Wilmington Island practice. The project expanded the office’s square footage from 2,833 to 3,544 square feet, increased the number of patient rooms from six to 10, raised the building 16 inches to meet FEMA flood map standards, and completely transformed the look and feel of the practice. 

As a result of the expansion, Howard Family Dental also announced that Dr. Aileen Han has joined Dr. Christy Harpring as a provider. The addition of Dr. Han will extend the practice’s hours to Monday through Friday and select Saturdays to better serve the needs of patients in the Wilmington Island community.

Dr. Han is originally from Cambridge, Maryland. She studied biology and biomedical studies at St. Olaf College before graduating from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Han enjoys being near the water, baking, traveling and eating good seafood. 

“Dr. Han is a natural fit into our office family, and we are fortunate to have her on the team,” said Dr. Harpring. “By expanding the practice and extending our hours of availability, our team will be able to care for more patients in our community, which is always our top priority.”

Howard Family Dental Wilmington Island will commemorate the completion of this major renovation with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 4 p.m.The office is located at 206 Johnny Mercer Blvd., in Savannah, Georgia.
