“We have started to initiate Team B at the department level based on need,” employees were told on Monday morning. “If you have not yet heard from your Team Leader, please contact him or her to determine staffing needs for your department. We hope to be back to normal operations by Wednesday morning. The Memorial Health University Physicians leadership is also working to resume normal operations on Wednesday,” the hospital states..

But, FitnessOne, the popular workout and health facility, reopened today at noon on Tuesday, September 12, for Team Members, physicians, advanced practice providers, and others working at Memorial to exercise and/or take showers. It will close at noon and reopen at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, for normal business hours.

The cafeteria will continue providing food for all Team Members, physicians, and others working at Memorial through Tuesday evening. Normal cafeteria operations will resume Wednesday morning.

“In closing, we hope that all of our Team Members and their families were able to weather the storm without significant damage to their homes or property. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been affected by Hurricane Irma and we wish them the best as they begin to recover from this storm,” states the hospital’s administration.  Memorial Health is one of the largest employers in Chatham County.
