Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC) recently won a Silver eHealthcare Leadership Award at the 14th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas. Memorial was recognized for integrating its “Memorial. More of What Matters.” campaign across traditional media (newspapers, radio, and television), and new media (the Internet and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter). Memorial reaches out to patients and the community through a variety of traditional and online venues to ensure that people get the information they need to make informed healthcare choices.

This year’s eHealthcare Leadership Awards drew a record number of entries – nearly 1,300. In the category of Best Integrated Marketing Campaign, MUMC shared recognition with three other prestigious hospitals: Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program was developed by eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, a leading Internet resource published by Health Care Communications in Rye, N.Y.
