DEC. 20 - Hilton Head OB/GYN Clinics Merge

Category: Health & Hospitals

Two established, successful OB/GYN practices on Hilton Head Island have merged, and are expanding their operation to Bluffton.

Women’s Healthcare Associates, P.A., (the practice of Dr. Ann E. Gorman) has joined Hilton Head Regional OB/GYN Partners (the OB/GYN practice of Dr. G. Neil Love and Dr. Dammun Pierce).

“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Dr. Gorman,” said Dr. Love, whose local-area practice dates back more than 30 years. “She has been treating women in our community since 1994 and has a special interest in treating pelvic prolapse and incontinence utilizing minimally invasive procedures, and evaluation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding.”

“By joining forces we will now be offering women a much more comprehensive complement of services,” said Dr. Gorman. “Our new team brings many years of experience and medical knowledge in the OB/GYN field to one location.”

Dr. Love also noted that the expanded practice’s main office will now be in the First Federal Bank Building off Main Street, the current location of Women’s Healthcare Associates, P.A. “It’s a great new location for us,” said Love, who is relocating from the Hilton Head Island Medical Plaza. “It is a warm and friendly environment with almost double the square footage as our current offices, and it will enable us to accommodate more patients and also provide on-site ultrasound.”

The merged practice’s main address will be 100 Exchange Street, Suite 200 on Hilton Head Island, with the satellite office location at 1 Burnt Church Road in Bluffton.

“Our Bluffton location will offer appointments Monday – Friday, and will be served by all three physicians,” said Dr. Gorman, “and that will be much more convenient for many of our patients who live in Bluffton, Pritchardville, Okatie and Jasper County.”

The expanded practice will offer OB/GYN care for any stage of a woman’s life, and will include annual “well-woman” exams, birth control, IUD, complete maternity care, on-site ultrasound, menopausal management, (including hormone replacement and non-hormonal alternatives) plus a full range of gynecologic surgery and incontinence evaluations and management – both medical and surgical.

Phones for the new practice will now be 843-681-4977.
