Savannah Business Journal Staff Report

March 13, 2019 - Godley Station Dental along with a team of volunteers will be hosting a free dental day through Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Dentistry From The Heart is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a Dr. Vincent Monticciolo in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 130 million Americans lack dental insurance, and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured.  To date, DFTH has helped more than 80,000 patients.

“The Godley Station Dental team along with our volunteers are committed to paying it forward to our community.   This is a mission trip in our own back yard, and we are bringing our skills and compassion to make this the most amazing event yet,”  said Practice Ambassador, Kandi Tripp.

The event will take place on Friday, April 26 at Godley Station Dental in Pooler. Starting at 7 a.m., Godley Station Dental and their volunteers will treat the first 100+ patients, or however many they can service by 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit,  their Facebook page, or the organization’s national website at
