Gregory G. Sewell has joined one of Savannah’s oldest law firms, Bouhan, Williams & Levy LLP, as an associate attorney. Sewell’s practice focuses on corporate law, civil and commercial litigation, including non-compete covenants and non-disclosure agreements, as well as medical malpractice, hospital and insurance defense.
"We are very happy to have Gregory join us," says Todd Baiad, a partner with the firm. "His wide breadth of knowledge and professionalism make him a natural fit at Bouhan, Williams and Levy."
A native Savannahian, Sewell previously worked as an associate at Brennan & Wasden LLP. Sewell sees his move to Bouhan, Williams & Levy, as “an excellent opportunity for myself and my family.” Although Sewell spends a fair amount of time in the court room his office at Armstrong House doesn’t face Forsyth Park; nonetheless he looks forward to going to work each day.
A graduate of Benedictine Academy, Sewell received his B.A. from the University of Georgia and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University School of Law. There he was a recipient of the Litigation Honors Designation and acted as the Community Service Chairman for the Executive Committee of the Student Bar Association.
Today Sewell is a member of the Savannah Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association, American Bar Association, Georgia Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
In addition, Sewell sits on the Board of Directors for the Benedictine Military School Alumni Association, volunteers with The St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research and coaches basketball at Saint James Catholic School. He has also participated as a Scoring Evaluator for the Georgia Mock Trial Competition and is a member of the Fenian Irish Society of Savannah. He and his wife are expecting their first child in January 2011.
