NOV 22 - HunterMaclean Partner Timothy Walmsley Named Leader of Arbitration and Mediation Practice Group

HunterMaclean, a leading law firm headquartered in Savannah, is pleased to announce that partner Timothy R. Walmsley has been named the new leader of the firm’s Arbitration and Mediation Practice Group.

A licensed mediator, Walmsley has a deep commitment to mediation, conflict management and alternative dispute resolution and is certified by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. An accomplished attorney, he has extensive experience in mediation, litigation and contract disputes and has represented individuals and corporations in transactions throughout the state of Georgia.

“Tim is a talented attorney who will lead our successful Arbitration and Mediation Practice Group to new levels of success,” said Frank S. Macgill, HunterMaclean’s managing partner. “His extensive knowledge of alternative dispute resolution serves as a real benefit to new and existing clients.”

Before joining HunterMaclean, Walmsley acted as a sole practitioner in the Walmsley Law Firm, P.C. in Savannah and served as chief counsel to the Chatham County Board of Tax Assessors. He currently serves as a part-time judge in the Magistrate Court of Chatham County.

Walmsley received his J.D. with honors along with a Certificate in Environmental Law in 1996 from the Tulane University School of Law and earned a B.S. in Environmental Studies in 1991 from Allegheny College in Meadville, Penn.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Senior Citizens, Inc. and The Goodness and Mercy Foundation, Inc. The Savannah Business Report and Journal named him one of the “40 Under 40” notable business leaders for 2004, and Atlanta Magazine identified him as a “Rising Star” of the Georgia Bar in 2005 and 2006. He is also a graduate of Leadership Savannah.

Walmsley is a member of a variety of professional organizations, including the Savannah Bar Association, American Bar Association and State Bar of Georgia.
