From Staff Reports

HunterMaclean, one of Savannah’s leading law firms, is pleased to announce J. Reid Williamson III and Bradley M. Harmon have been named partners. Both attorneys are based at the firm’s Savannah office.

“We are delighted to recognize Reid and Brad as the firm’s newest partners,” said Frank S. Macgill, managing partner at HunterMaclean. “Each of these attorneys has a deep commitment to legal excellence in his field and serves as a leader at HunterMaclean.”

Williamson practices within the firm’s estates and trusts group and specializes in the areas of probate, estates, trusts, fiduciary law, wills and real estate. An experienced probate and estate planning attorney, he frequently serves as executor, trustee or guardian.

Originally from Savannah, Williamson attended Savannah Country Day School and Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va.  before graduating magna cum laude from Tufts University in Boston with a B.A. in economics and political science in 1982. He earned a J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1985. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Savannah Bar Association.
Harmon specializes in business litigation with an emphasis on personal injury litigation, medical malpractice defense and commercial litigation. He has successfully defended trucking companies, medical care providers and other businesses in personal injury lawsuits, and has represented financial institutions and hospitals in commercial and business litigation matters. He was named a Georgia Super Lawyers “Rising Star” by Atlanta Magazine in 2007, 2009 and 2010.

Harmon is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Savannah Bar Association and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and a J.D. from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law.

In addition, Carson Bacon recently joined HunterMaclean as an associate with the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group. Bacon’s practice area will include providing counsel on a wide range of employment law issues, conducting employment audits and training, and drafting employment policies and handbooks to help clients achieve their business goals.

“Carson will make an excellent addition to our successful employment law practice group,” said Frank S. Macgill, managing partner at HunterMaclean.
Bacon graduated with a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in May 2010 where she worked as a staff member for the Emory International Law Review, served on the Board of the International Law Society and served as vice president of the Federalist Society. Prior to law school, she earned a B.A. from the University of South Carolina with honors in August 2004.

Bacon’s experience includes work for the U.S. Department of Commerce as an associate director in the Office of the Secretary, as well as serving as confidential assistant to the Department’s Chief of Staff. She has also volunteered for presidential campaigns in 2000 and 2004.
