September 9, 2019 – The candidates are working hard;  campaign signs are everywhere; and debates between candidates are starting to be announced by leading civic organizations.

Any necessary runoff elections will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3.  At this time, a runoff is anticipated in the Savannah Mayor race with four announced candidates, and based on recent polling information that has Mayor Eddie DeLoach and Alderman Van Johnson virtually in a tie, but each polling between 30 to 33% - a long way from the needed 50% to avoid a run-off.
