L-R: Officers Hamm, Alexander, Gallipoli, Chief Jeff Hadley, Thompson, McCowen, AlbinoDieppa

August 3, 2020 - The Chatham County Police Department swore in six new police officers during a brief ceremony at headquarters last week.

Typically, officers take their oath immediately after their Georgia Public Safety Training Center graduation, and then receive their badges at a formal pinning ceremony held by the Chatham County Police Department. Both events are attended by a large number of family, friends, and dignitaries, however, COVID-19 restrictions prevented both ceremonies from taking place. Instead, the officers were sworn in and presented their badges at a very brief ceremony in the headquarters squad room, which was attended only by several members of CCPD Command and training officers.

The new officers are:

  • Trinity Hamm
  • Jaquez Alexander
  • Joshua Gallipoli
  • Caleb Thompson
  • Ka’Deisha McCowen
  • Jose AlbinoDieppa

Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley says the new officers will be honored with a formal ceremony, once COVID-19 conditions permit.
