Knock Out Disaster!

April 29, 2021 - The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a Public Service and Outreach unit of the University of Georgia, invites small business owners to a no-cost educational webinar to help them prepare and recover from a hurricane and other disasters.

The two-part webinar will take place on May 11 and May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. On May 11, topics will include disaster impacts, terminology, and re-entry permits an processes, business continuity planning, and reflections on the recent weather-related emergency in Texas and its impact on small businesses. On May 12, topics include emergency loan programs available to small businesses and farmers/ranchers from the SBA and USDA, and insurance concerns.

Representatives from the SBA, USDA, GEMA, CEMA, UGA Marine Extension, SBDC UTSA and the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King will be facilitating and answering questions.
